White Meadow

Introduction to White Meadow

•White Meadow will provide a warm, nurturing and homely environment for young people who, for a wide variety of reasons, are being looked after by their local authority because of being unable to live at home.

•Our young people will have a diagnosis of Autism and other complexities such as ADHD, severe learning disabilities, non-verbal or limited communication.  We will also work from a trauma and attachment-based model and PACE will underpin our day-to-day practice.

•White Meadow is based in Ormskirk, close to a beautfiul woodland area where we enjoy peaceful walks, we have access to Edge Hill University facilities such as swimming pool, library, training and generous grounds and gardens.

White Meadow Ethos

'Our ethos which will underpin our care and is fundamental to providing a solid foundation from which we work, is that our young people are always placed at the heart of everything we do. We believe that all young people, whatever their history, have the right to develop their own identity and a future that opens a world of opportunity with a journey that enables them to achieve their potential. The difficulties some young people may have experienced before being placed with us may have left them hurt, angry, let down and distrustful of adults.  Our aim is to provide a safe haven, for them to enjoy, learn and grow, in an environment they feel safe in'.
